LINOCUT WORKSHOP:
Thursdays July 10, 17, & 24 10am-12noon
Fee $125 per person
Learn to make exciting linocut prints, a form of relief printmaking. In this class you will be introduced to a variety of carving, inking, and printing techniques. We will explore a variety of techniques used to add color and create unique prints. This form of printmaking can be done with or without a press.
Materials fee $30 if provided by instructor, however participants are welcome to bring their own supplies
GELLIPLATE WORKSHOP:
Wednesday July 16 10am-12noon
Fee $75 per person includes materials.
Join us for an exciting workshop that will explore the many techniques of Gelli Plate Printing.
Gelli Plate Printing is a wonderfully expressive and versatile hand printing technique that is done without a press. Prints can be created on a variety of papers and fabrics with acrylic paint or printing inks. This form of printmaking is suitable for all ages and levels of expertise.
WET CYANOTYPE WORKSHOP:
Saturday July 26 10am-2pm bring lunch
Fee $100 per person includes materials.
Join us as we explore the uniquely unpredictable photographic technique known as Wet Cyanotype. Cyanotype is a direct photographic process, no camera or expensive equipment required. It has been used by artists, photographers, and scientists for over 200 years. Wet Cyanotype is an expressive technique and allows for serendipity to have a hand in the creation of images. In this workshop we will explore several wet cyanotype techniques that can be done at home. Beautiful rich blue Images will be created by utilizing UV light, water, and natural items found in your kitchen cabinets.
All materials will be provided however participants may bring natural objects with interesting shapes and edges such as leaves, grasses, feathers, ribbon etc. objects should not be very thick such as twigs and rocks.
